Updated Immunizations Made Available for Children

Updated immunizations for children The Department of Health has given out updated regulations on vaccinations in particular with school-age kids. This includes a second dosage of chickenpox vaccine in order to defend children suffering from a more serious ailment the moment they acquired the illness when they grow up.

According to the director of the Department of Health’s Division of Immunizations of the state, Heather Stafford, the updated regulations for the vaccinations were supported from the suggestions given by the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices under the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The new regulations stated that every student at all levels is obliged to get the second dosage of the vaccine for chickenpox that is if they never got the disease yet.

Moreover, according to the director of Community Medical Center’s pediatric unit, Vincent Ross, M.D., the immunity against the disease does not last. He also added that babies who are between twelve and eighteen months old are given vaccines for chickenpox.

In addition, Dr. Ross explained that the patients would end up in death when the abrasions happen to be infected or they can lose limbs. He emphasized that a person gets sicker when he gets the vaccine a little bit older.
