Low-Fat Diet Lessens Development of Alzheimer’s

Low-fat diet can lessen development of Alzheimer’sA new study showed that lowering the risk of having Alzheimer’s disease could be possible if an individual introduces his self to a carbohydrate-rich and low-fat diet. This means having fruits, legumes, whole grains and vegetables in your diet plate.

Seattle’s Veterans Affairs Puget Sound Health Care System’s researchers have evaluated outcomes of low-saturated fat (LOW) and high-saturated fat (HIGH) diets on materials that specify a certain disease or biological markers, in this case linked to Alzheimer’s disease.

For the study, researchers analyzed data from 49 older adults who participated; 29 of them had experienced a type of memory loss, which was considered as an indicator of the developing Alzheimer’s, and the remaining 29 older adults were identified as healthy. The group was divided into two and half of every group was assigned to follow one of the two diet plans – the LOW and HIGH diets.

The participants were observed for four weeks. Results showed that those healthy individuals who took the LOW diet had lessened biological markers of the disease; while those healthy participants who took HIGH diet appeared to have higher points which suggest susceptibility to Alzheimer’s.

On the other hand, those participants who already have experienced memory loss, the results were more intricate.

As a general outcome, researchers claimed that foods which are high in fats can have an effect on the cognition and brain.

“123 Samples” is promoting a new line of detergent, tooth paste, lotion etc by giving away free samples. It’s more of the “try it before buy it” marketing model and who can resist a free useful household product like detergent? This free sample is limited to one per household and only available while supplies last.
